For over 20 years, HRAI has supported Technical Skills Competitions for secondary and post-secondary students pursuing HVACR as a career.
These competitions in both heating and refrigeration and air conditioning systems give youth the opportunity to gain new knowledge, display their current knowledge in their chosen field of study and maintain bragging rights amongst their peers when they win. Skills competitions are feel-good events that promote this trade and create life-long positive experiences for the competitors.
HRAI sponsors a skills competition bi-annually at their CMPX tradeshow where prizes (generously donated by industry sponsors) are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
Every year our team of committed industry volunteers also run competitions at the provincial level through Skills Canada, Ontario where winners go on to compete at the Canadian nationals.
